Re #5 eric could you please expand on what is 'cool'?
eg walk me through the crash log in brief...

email attachment confirms mail.app crash on receipt of email with signature
"html signature that crashes mail.app" 
have requested crash log from recipient/reporter, and will forward on receipt.

reported to radar as Bug ID# 5807172
their current stance was "We don't support creating signatures from outside of
Mail.  Can you reproduce if you remove ~/Library/Mail/Signatures and create the
signature from Mail?"

however in respect of the recipient also crashing, I have again requested FIX.
