Well, it appears that the "simple test case" (the case bug) is actually already
fixed on the feature branch (or at least not broken).  You can see for yourself
with:
http://nightly.webkit.org/builds/mac-feature-branch/1

The gradients still don't appear quite correctly however, I'm unsure why.  It
may be related to stricter attribute namespace checking though, as when I turn
on my "use setAttributeNS instead" hack on the feature-branch build, everything
works fine.
