So I think the remaining issues are covered by bug 12448 and bug 11225.

I'd like to mark this as a duplicate of bug 11225.

You can see for yourself using the brand-new feature-branch nightlies.  I
expect that the feature branch code will be rolled into trunk sometime after
Leopard ships (which last I remember Apple announcing was sometime in October).
 So trunk should have these fixes by mid november I figure.
