Summary: Javascript Netflix ad gets more runtime (scrolls faster)
when browser window does not have focus.
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 523.x (Safari 3)
          Platform: Macintosh Intel
               URL: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/19/nyregion/19witness.htm
                    l
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Platform
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: norm at cap-lore.com

I could not confirm this with other browsers because ad serving is random.
Sorry.
Activity Monitor showed more CPU usage while Safari did not have focus. (%25
without focus, 20% with focus.)
Ad is legible with focus; illegible (too fast) without.

Perhaps this is due to a novel attempt to pace animation.
