Summary: Safari 3.0/webkit 522.11, Issues in multiple webkit
using apps.
Product: WebKit
Version: 522+ (nightly)
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Major
Priority: P2
Component: WebKit Misc.
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: mysticalos at windstream.net
Safari 3.0 installs webkit 522.11 in system, where it's available to ALL apps
and not a localized nightly build like here. But once ALL apps started using
522 I noticed some new bugs right away. Do to unknown amount of further apps
problems will be noted in, listing as major severity for now until amount of
apps impacted can be better assessed.
in "Yahoo Messenger 3.0b1"
scroll bar snaps back to top of conversation every time a message is sent.
makes it difficult to conduct a conversation
In "colloquy":
if scroll bar is at something other than max value it always snaps to top when
a new message is added
In ichat:
there may be a delay when a message is entered before it comes on screen. Also
noted in two instances when a message was sent and it never even appeared on
screen. heard sound that it was received but in these two cases it's happened
so far no message was even parsed.
in "Safari 3.0":
phpbb2 forums have scroll bars in about 50% of posts for no real reason, there
is no content to scroll but for some reason scroll bars are appearing in these
areas for no reason.
example:
http://forum.ytunnelpro.com/viewtopic.php?t=745
Unsure if the php problem was new safari or webkit so it was also filed with
bugreports.apple.com under:
"5263028 Scroll bars appearing where they are not needed."
