Are you using shipping Safari, or a WebKit nightly to test?

When I tried the test, I didn't not see any extra spaces added after an undo
operation.  (Used a local debug build of WebKit r21911 with Safari 2.0.4
(419.3) on Mac OS X 10.4.9 (8P135).)

In fact, the <textarea> element in the attachment has one space to begin with
anyway because of the way it's defined in HTML.

Could you give more detailed steps to reproduce?
