Additional browser testing (in no particular order) on my PowerBook G4 with
10.4.8 (8L127):

Firefox 2.0.0.1 shows the JavaScript dialog.
Mac IE 5.2.3 (5815.1) does NOT show the dialog.
OmniWeb 5.5.1 (v607.5) shows the JavaScript dialog.
Opera 9.10 (build 3588) shows the JavaScript dialog AND opens up a new tab with
about:blank as the contents.
Mozilla 1.7.13 shows the JavaScript dialog.
