Summary: execCommand RemoveFormat applies Default of Browser
Product: WebKit
Version: 522+ (nightly)
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML Editing
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: peer at smileCMS.com
The execCommand RemoveFormat...
... does not what I think it should do, to remove any format applied to the
selected text. It does it only partial...
But it turns text like this: Sample text on a web page into:
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times; font-size: 14px;
line-height: normal; ">Sample text on a web page</span>
Applying and adding formatting to the text, the default specified in the
browser, even if the font for the page specified in the css is different,
therefore not very useful as a command to remove formatting.
