           Version: 420+ (nightly)

2007-02-04 15:28:47 Chris Petersen:
* SUMMARY
With NetNewsWire 2.1.1 (running under TOT webkit) , the contextual menu shows
extra menu items when focus is placed in input or textarea field. See screen
shot.

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. With NetNewsWire 2.1.1 (running under TOT webkit), go to
http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/
2. Place focus in "First & Last Name"
3. Ctrl-click in this field and view the contextual menu that appears
4. Notice 8 extra menu items are displayed in the contextual menu (wrong).
Again see screen shot for comparison when running NetNewsWire under stock
webkit and TOT webkit

* RESULTS
The contextual menu should display the correct number of menu items when focus
is in field.

* REGRESSION
Yes, this doesn't occur with stock webkit from 10.4.9.

2007-02-04 15:32:35 Chris Petersen:
Tested under TOT (Tiger) running under 10.4.9.

2007-02-04 20:53:26 Chris Petersen:
This might be more of a generic problem with the contextual menu where either
it displays additional menu items (like NNW) or the wrong contextual is
displayed (like Shiira 2.0b2). See attached file "shiira2.jpg"

1. With Shiira 2.0b2 (running under TOT webkit), go to
http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/
2. Place focus in "Email Address"
3. Ctrl-click in this field and view the contextual menu that appears
4. Notice the wrong contextual is displayed (when compared to Shirra 2.0b2
running on stock Tiger webkit)

2007-02-05 13:16:07 Beth Dakin:
For both Shiira and NetNewsWire, this is definitely a problem where whatever
heuristic they used to determine if they needed an editing context menu is
broken. I'm not sure what we should do about this.
