You can demonstrate the issue with this demo:

NOTE: since there is not yet an official native Shockwave for Intel Macs,
unless you are an Adobe beta site, this must be tested on a PPC. 

I can confirm that the issue still exists in Safari 3 on Leopard using the
above demo url.
