same reduction, strict mode

It seems that Safari matches WinIE 7 precisely - the results are also different
in strict and quirks modes. Firefox matches both in strict mode, but doesn't
have this quirk. Thus, our behavior on the reduction seems correct to me.

So, there must be something else about SAP that makes it work in IE, but not in
Safari.
