Flash deep linking will cause the page to reload on the first attempt, but
after that seems to work flawlessly.

I can only confirm that this happens when using the SWFAddress script
(http://www.asual.com/swfaddress/) but imagine it happens using a homegrown
deep linking script as well.

Safari 1.3 and 2 do not encounter this problem.
