I now think I was wrong about this. I thought this was the problem with Google
Maps and similar apps, and I tried some XMLHTTPRequest demos to confirm it.
However, I now have found some XMLHTTPRequest tutorials that do work in
Spinneret. In looking at the crazy complicated Google Maps code, it looks like
the data when you search is being loaded in a frame rather than using
XMLHTTPRequest. Given that frames don't work on Windows, this is expected.
