The omission of non-standard accessors was intentional AFAIK. Can you provide
examples of "real life" SVGs deployed on the Web that depend on them? That
would definitely add more fuel to the idea of revisiting this decision.

Googling for "svg getClientX" only gives 944 hits, FWIW.
