Summary: Lots of images on the page, some won't load randomly.
Maybe due to server.
Product: WebKit
Version: 420+ (nightly)
Platform: Macintosh
URL: http://emilieguillaume.free.fr/test.html
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: New Bugs
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at opendarwin.org
ReportedBy: g.chanel at voila.fr
In this page, there are 83 images (and nothing more).
When the page loads, not all the images are loaded. Some are replaced by
question marks.
When the page is reloaded, some new images are now loaded, but some other may
not be there any more, randomly.
If the page is loaded from local HD, all images are loaded correctly everytime.
So, it seems to me that the web server does no accept all the requests to load
images at the same time, and some requests are not honored.
So maybe this bug is more on server side.
- Is the speed or number of simultaneous image requests correct ?
- Is the web server answer correct ?, or correctly handled by webkit ?
A subject is open on French forum Macbidouille
(http://forum.macbidouille.com/index.php?showtopic=188457). I was told that the
bug does not appear with Panther.
Thanks,
Guillaume
