Patch Revised

- corrected else statements
- removed unnecessary variable
- removed unnecessary concatenation 
- renamed var counter to functionKeywordOffset
- prototyped Element.removeChildren
- renamed placeholder text to <No selected symbol>
- replaced function name highlight with selection
