Hyatt and I talked about this.  We think this is caused by our new support for
box-sizing.

Old Safari did not take border and padding into account when calculating the
size.  TOT Safari does take border and padding into account now, so that's why
we now match Firefox.

We need to evangelize to get GMail to change the site.
