Summary: Tab Focus Changing When Following Link
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 417.x
          Platform: Macintosh
               URL: http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit Misc.
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at opendarwin.org
        ReportedBy: mpeaston at mac.com

Hi,

I'm noting some odd behaviour with the Nightly Build of WebKit (downloaded 22nd
March and reported as Version 2.0.3 (417.9.2)) when following links with
multiple tabs open. At the present time I have 4 tabs open (plus the one being
used to write this) in Safari in the following order:

1. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=188346&page=4
2. feed://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/recent.rss
3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/
4. http://webkit.opendarwin.org/quality/reporting.html

What I am noticing is that when I follow a link from the BBC site (such as
following the link to view the listing for BBC1 at the bottom of the page with
the URL http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/) the link is opened in the tab but my
focus is changed to another tab. In my specific example, selecting to view the
television listing for BBC1 results in my focus being moved to the next tab
that I have open, in this case the WebKit Bug Reporting tab.

This behaviour does not happen with all tabs/links and does appear to be very
difficult to replicate. To be honest, I thought I was going nuts the first
time that it happened but I seem able to consistently replicate this problem in
the 3rd tab when using the BBC's page and any link on it.

Best of luck.
