I decided I wanted to remove a bunch of DeprecatedString usage this evening...
so I did.

The attached patch removed DeprecatedString uses (replacing them with String)
and also cleans up a bunch of style inconsistancies that I encountered.

There really isn't much interesting stuff in the patch, just a lot of
search/replace.
