mouseClick was designed as a solution for tests that need to click native
widgets (see bug 7583). It doesn't work even for single-clicking anything but
native widgets. Maybe it should be renamed to reflect its special purpose.
Another option which I mentioned in bug 7583 is to add a code path for the
normal case.
