Summary: associate web inspector with a specific browser window
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 420+ (nightly)
          Platform: Macintosh
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Web Inspector
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at opendarwin.org
        ReportedBy: rupert at complinet.com

could you make it so the web inspector only appears when the window it's
inspecting has the focus, rather than any safari window? (and the inspector
closed if you closed that browser window)

i think this would be more intuitive when you're using multiple windows for
different tasks: having the inspector pop up when you switch to an uninspected
browser window is confusing (to me, at least).

this might also allow you to have multiple instances of the inspector open for
inspecting different pages simultaneously, something that could be useful
comparing two webpages for different css behaviour.
