* SUMMARY:
After updating to 10.4.4, signatures with RTL text that contain text and
numbers are not displayed properly in messages generated with Mail.app. Newly
created signatures also doesn't display RTL text correctly. This is a
regression. RTL signatures behaved correctly under 10.4.3. The problem is
reproduced both on Intel and PPC- based machines.

The problem is that the place of numbers and Hebrew letters is switched after
setting RTL direction for the text and saving the signature.
The primary language doesn't change the behavior.

* STEPS TO REPRODUCED:
The problem is described for Hebrew as it was reported by Hebrew localizer but
it affects Arabic as well.

Reproduced on Tiger 10.4.4 (build 8G32 or build 8G1165)

1. Make sure the Hebrew keyboard is active: Open International preferences
pane. Click on the Input Menu button. Check the box next to the Hebrew keyboard
and close the window.
2. Open Mail application.
3. From the Mail menu select the Preferences….
4. Click on the Signatures button.
5. Click on the + button to add a new signature.
6. Click in the body box of the signature (the most right box), hold the CTRL
key and the click on the mouse. From the contextual menu select Writing
Direction - Right to Left.

7. Switch to Hebrew and type a few letters in Hebrew. After that, type a phone
number. For example:

ËÏÙÂÔ: 03-9005304

The letters are on the right side of the numbers - as they should.
8. Close the preferences window and open it again. Look at the signature again.
The letters "move" to the left side of the numbers. See the attached screenshot
of the signature text how it appears while typing and after closing and
re-opening the screen.
9. Close the preferences window and compose a new email. Make sure you can see
you signature. You can see that the letters are on the left side of the
numbers.

Typing the Hebrew word and the numbers in a reverse order can't be used as a
workaround as in this case the space between the word and the number is
deleted.

Mail hasn't changed since 10.4.3. Safari do you know of any changes in this
area?

I did not try this myself but it's described as a regression.
