OK, I'm reopening this issue in the hope that someone can help me get the
solution (a nightly build) to work in Safari itself (i.e. Safari.app rathe than
WebKit.app).  I was happy for this issue to be closed under the assumption that
the code in the successful WebKit nightly build would be pushed out in an OS
update.  Well, 10.4.6 and 10.4.7 have been and gone and still Safari is
mangling the same website.  I'm beginning to suspect that something is FUBAR in
my version of Safari so I'm now open to suggestions as to how this problem can
be resolved short of reinstalling the OS (again).
