When running under MallocDebug, I'm getting the following message from TOT, but
not from stock 10.4.7:

$ export DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=/usr/lib/libMallocDebug.A.dylib
$ run-safari
<...>
libMallocDebug[Safari-5163]: frame pointer goes from bffec4a0 to bfffc9e0 --
assuming invalid.

Seems to proceed normally after that, but still looks scary.
