Summary: The S60 installer changes drive letters
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 419.x
          Platform: S60 Emulator
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Reindeer
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at opendarwin.org
        ReportedBy: svdwal at mBrainSoftware.com

I have a card reader to read and write MMC cards, memory stick, the lot. There
are four drives in this reader, and I have remapped them by hand to z:, y:, x:
and w:

The S60 installer has this idea that it wants to create a x: drive letter.
After I convinced the installer to use a different letter that was still free,
it turned out the assigned drive letters to the card reader were changed to be
much lower. In the meantime they have destroyed a couple of subst'ed drive
letters as well.

This isn't very nice, an installer should not act like this.

Personally, I believe you should get rid of the idea of having the epoc32
folder of the sdk in a root folder. If people want this, they can do it
themselves. But in no circumstance should the installer rename drive letters.
