We could still make a workaround where we detect this case and use slightly
offwhite.  However the previous patch was not OK, as it changed all gradient
colors.  We want one that just change white on white to slightly-not-white on
white.  This will be made even easier when Hyatt changes our Color class to use
4 floats.
