Ahh now it makes sence :-)

Yes  - I tried to set a z-index on the positioned div and it fixed my problem.

I guess gecko is wrong then.

Can you tell me if the problem I have with the newsblock on http://www.jonasmunk.dk/ is related to 
this?It uses pure css to change opacity.

Does the stacking also occur when changing opacity with css? (fx. with hover)
