------- Additional Comments From ahmad.moshref at gmail.com 2006-01-07 09:50 -------
As additional comments to full justification of Arabic script, I have to mention that this problem is
solved not in a proper way as both me and later on Mitz has pointed out. The problem of full
justification of Arabic was solved by insertion white space thereby "Kashidas" technology was not used
to handle this annoying bug.
Attached is a screen capture which compares the an Arabic text block handled by MS I.E 6 (on Windows)
and WebKit v.2005-01-06. The space between word in Webkit is marked with yellow circles.
I have to emphasize here that "Kashidas" technique is not something new for Apple engineer. In
WorldScriptI (up to OS9), 4 different level of "Kashidas" were implemented. Those of you who works for
Apple has access to to the C++ source code of how to implement "Kashidas" so that you know that you
do not need to re invent the Wheel once again, Apple has the code.
