trickier hover test where an ancesor's hover should invalidate too

Mitz pointed out on IRC that hover state for an ancestor node may need to be
explicitly invalidated as well, if the removal of a node cause its ancestor to
move out from under the mouse as well. Here's a test case that demonstrates
this.
