hmm, I haven't thought of the possibility that both webkit browsers I use
(shiira+safari) simply lack the hooks to deal with more complicated certificate
situations...

sidenote: I did not want to make a suggestion how it should work - I personally
do not see the harm just temporarily accepting the certificate when secure
elements are transmitted as parts of an unsecured master- page, since the user
does not expect any form of security, so why confuse the user?

Since from my point of view no extra user- interaction is required, I thought
this should be handled by webkit alone, but IANACS...

Of course there are other scenarios where this would be a whole different issue
(like a securely transmitted element from site B inside another secured frame
of site A and such)
