Steffan, can you please provide a working example that demonstrates this issue?

The first thing that strikes me is that URLs in CSS are resolved relative to
the CSS file containing them.  This means that if your CSS file and HTML page
are in different directories, you will need to use different paths.  Without a
working test case this is simply speculation.
