[This is a follow-up on bug 6905]

If layoutTestController.display() painted over the view with a translucent
shade, it would be generally possible to tell what areas were repainted
afterwards, and thus detect cases where too much was repainted.

I have a patch along the lines of what I've suggested in bug 6905.
