An example of a site with similar behaviour.

Sorry it is in Danish. The problem, however, is visual.

Go to:

http://politiken.dk/VisArtikel.iasp?PageID=1

Scroll all the way down, then up a screenful or so. You should see a daily
strip. Move the mouse over the strip and rotate the scroll wheel. The strip
moves horizontally.

The problem is more visible if you click the "Rocky" graphic.
