Summary: With active selection in field, copied text pastes with
ending line break into native text field
Product: WebKit
Version: 420+ (nightly)
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
Status: NEW
Keywords: Regression, NativeTextField
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML Forms
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at opendarwin.org
ReportedBy: cpetersen at apple.com
This sounds like a identical copy of
http://bugzilla.opendarwin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8107 but that issue has been
marked as resolved fixed. My steps are similar except you have select all of
the text BEFORE you paste.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch TextEdit and type someting like "rocky road". Press the return key so
that it adds a linebreak onto the next line. Press command - A and command -C
to copy text.
2) Launch TOT Webkit and go to any site that uses input text fields like
www.google.com
3) Type a word in the input field and press command-A to select it
4) Press command -V to paste the copied text from TextEdit
5) Pasted text includes the ending line break into field
