This patch has passed the jsc tests and layout tests on x86_64.  It has also
passed the jsc tests on 32-bit x86.  Performance results are a wash in
aggregate though some individual test components did seem to show some
consistent differences across 3 runs of the perf test.	I will upload perf
results shortly after this.

Note: I need to rerun this updated test against the original dromaeo crash
issue in this bug to ensure that the fix is still effective.
