This patch is plausible, but has been filed against the wrong bug.  The
original bug reported here has been fixed.  The only bug remaining appears to
be for SVGImages.  I'm going to close this bug, but please feel free to file a
new bug and attack this patch to that bug.  (Sorry if that feels like
busywork.)
