This patch has been up for review for a long time.  None of the folks who are
qualified to review this code seem that interested in this patch.  I don't mean
to be unfriendly, but I think we should put this patch aside for a while.  If
someone feels confident in their ability to review this patch, please don't let
this review stand in your way.
