I use "--module
subset=qtbase,qtjsbackend,qtxmlpatterns,qtscript,qtdeclarative,qtquick1,qtlocation,qtsensors,qt3d"
 which has no qttools, as you can see. Funny enough though, qttools
was there in my Qt5.
