No problem, I think in general using GStreamer/QuickTime directly
is a very good idea (one source of problems less when trying to
deploy QtWebKit on funky vendor systems).

This is mostly informative (if someone is searching for this topic). We
have opted for disabling Video if GStreamer/Glib/Gio can not be found.
Alexis has implemented this in r91771 and completed it in r91787.

For the record there is the error() function of qmake, I am not sure
what we think is proper usage of it though.
