I closed the bug as it is not on the right bug tracker.

Please submit a patch directly. You already know about the detail of the 
problem and how to benchmark it so it will be easier for you to do the 
patch.

You can submit the patch as a merge request on qt.gitorious.org (branch 
master).

With your patch, you should extend the benchmark of 
tests/benchmarks/gui/painting/qpainter/tst_qpainter.cpp so we can see 
how much improvement the patch is giving on different platforms.
