SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER; WEBOS PLATFORM (WEBKIT)
Palm is seeking a world-class software engineer to work on the WebKit and JavaScript engines that power webOS. Shape the future of the smartphone industry by enabling new features on Palm phone hardware by having direct impact on the performance and feature set of the core layer that powers webOS.

The ideal candidate for this position:
* Ability to work on a number of projects as priorities demand.
* A focus for the details required to ship real-world applications.
* Able to acquire knowledge of existing software platforms and applications quickly.
* Track record shipping world-class products.

Responsibilities:
* Senior developer for the high-profile webOS platform; specifically WebKit internals
* Develop an application design, and implement that design with team members.

Qualifications:
* 5+ years experience with C++
* 1+ year experience with WebKit (internals) development
* 5+ years practical experience working in a software team.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Experience developing applications which ship to customers.
* Able to provide mentoring to less experienced team members.

Desired:
* Experience with HTML/CSS
* Experience with JavaScript
* Experience with Linux

Education:
* BA/BS or above in Computer Science or a related field.
