[webkit-help] Question about IOS support

Thanks for the responses guys. There are definitely other browsers out
there for IOS (iCab Mobile, etc.) so it is permitted by Apple.

I want to make a browser which does special URL filtering, among other
things. I am currently doing what I need with UIWebVIew but I thought I
might need to do a higher level of customization so I am investing WebKit
in parallel.

I still haven't been able to figure out whether WebKit is officially
supported on IOS, and why I have been seeing conflicting reports between
what people have said regarding this and what Apple has said (as per my
original post). If anyone can explain this I'd appreciate it.
