[webkit-help] Changing the name for the resulting webkit library

Hello all,
  Is there a way of changing the resulting webkit library? 
Specifically, when I build webkit (I'm using the GTK version), it generates the libraries and the pkgconfig files. The generated library name is 'webkit-1.0'. Is there any way of configuring this name? for example, to 'webkittest-1.0'? 
I need this since I'm trying some changes in webcore, and I need a way of comparing my changes with the original.
If someone could point me in the right direction (what files need to be modified, any particular gotchas?), I'd appreciate the help.
