Hello everyone,
I've been using the Webkit nightly builds on OS X for about a year
now. I used to update them manually, and recently with the Sparkle
updater. However, since about a week ago, I am unable to update to any
build. Not via the automatic update and nor by downloading them
manually. When I try thru Webkit I get an error message that reads:
"An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again
later". When I try to open the downloaded dmg, it is unable to mount
itself, claiming it is "not recognized".
Upgrading to Snow Leopard (and then 10.6.1) didn't help, nor the
practice of Repair Disk and repairing disk permissions (which I did
anyway for Snow).
There is no problem with other dmgs, I tried to download several from
different sources and they mounted fine. It seems to be specific to
Webkit dmgs.
So, I would love to know if I have any easy solutions left before I do
a Clean Install (You've got some ties with the Apple guys; Why the
fuck did they cut that option from the SL installer?).
Thanks in advance,
O.
