I have used ToT with patches from kabalzs and some more. I wrote a simple
file with 500 entries of http://www.cnn.com and used QtLauncher -r this.file
to open cnn 500 times.

Today morning the result is:
PID USER      PR  NI  VIRT  RES  SHR S COMMAND
28943 ich       20   0  222m 113m  42m S  QtLauncher

so please try Qt-4.5.2.
