[webkit-gtk] Why does it take sooo long to compile

NO, this is NOT a complaint!
I'm asking why it takes 3.5 to 4.5 hours to compile. I'm using gentoo webkit-gtk 2.4.8 and then I also need to compile another version, webkit-gtk 2.4.8 r200.

If anything can be done, we'd be interested in knowing about it.
