The cmake build scripts check if the user has Eclipse and in that case 
generate appropriate files to generate project.ini and other files. However, 
having Eclipse isn't mandatory [1].

I think that the same happens with ninja: cmake ninja output is generated if 
ninja is detected, but isn't mandatory either (IIRC).
