Its been an issue since webkitgtk-1.6 with GTK+ 2.x (3.x works fine), see:

https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90350
At least on win32 RGBA32 is not supported by GTK+ 2.x, not sure if that is the problem for win32 or if it is a simlar issue for both win32 and Linux.
