How would I know whether I am using a weird NPAPI plugin? I am not
intentionally using any plugin, weird or otherwise. I didn't even know what
an NPAPI plugin was, until I looked it up.

I run

cat /proc/asound/card1/pcm0p/sub0/status

I get "closed".

I simply navigate to the page about Sousa. Nothing plays. When I repeat the
above command, I get "PREPARED" (and some other stuff). I wait. Nothing
plays. I still get "PREPARED". I wait some more. Still nothing plays, still
I get "PREPARED". I navigate away from the page about Sousa. I get "closed".
You might think it's impossible, but I'm telling you what I see.

It's a client for a music server (similar to MPD).
