[webkit-gtk] Preparing 1.4.0. What to merge

Hi,

so it turns out that I have been reviewing revisions: [r82915 - r81627] 
and gathered several commits that could potentially be part of the next 
stable release. I have grouped them in the following subsets:

* regressions: (still need to check if the original commit is in the 
current stable branch) does not include fixes to commits not to be 
ported to the stable branch
* leaks
* performance issues: in general, not only GTK specific
* crashes
* assertions
* build fixes

So this is the list. Maybe it's too long, maybe not.
